Rationale for the Use of Media and Prodution of Educational Materials
Advancement in technology have heralded a new type of learner, one who must use higher order reasonong skills to solve complex real world problems. Through technology, students can obtain, assemble, analyse and communicate infomation in more detail and at a much faster pace than ever before possible. Thus it has become important for educators to be technologically literate and adopt new techniques and learner centred methods of instruction to engage learners in critical and creative thinking. Print, video, audio media, and interactive multimedia, through the correct use of new and emerging technologies can provide the type of stimulating experiences required in today's dynamic learning environments.
